It was our intention to record and post township, borough, and school board meetings for public consumption at no cost to the government entities/organizations holding the meetings. In the past this was done as a community service. Though we have had additional requests to record and post public meetings in southern and central York County, SYCP would require much more funding in the form of donations and underwriting to cover the costs.
 
This economic reality could no longer be ignored. Unfortunately providing public meetings for public consumption on the internet at no cost to the organization holding the meeting could no longer be done. We required better equipment and the amount of time required to edit and create the audio and/or video by our experienced staff was simply too expensive to do on our own. This was no longer something we could provide to the community at no cost. That type of service would have required much more financial support from the community than SYCP was able to muster.
 
We are, however, still committed to providing the public and your organization with the services we feel are necessary to promote local democracy in southern and central York County. Our experience and reputation in southern and central York county makes us your best choice to record your meetings and produce the audio and/or video. Furthermore, Though we encourage you to post your meetings here on SYCP, it is not required if your organization does not want to pay the posting fee. We could simply record the meetings for your organization. Also, if you already have meetings recorded and would like us to post them, SYCP will only charge the posting fee. If you would like to save money and only produce an audio recording of the meeting, SYCP also has a fee schedule for audio only recordings as well.  Finally we also offer transcription services if you would like your meetings transcribed.
